Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout: 5 Stars

Opal (Lux, #3)
Tehe! Oh my Pepe....
Summary
No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.
The Plot
If you hadn't read Obsidian or my blog post on it I'd highly suggest it because I gonna spoiler all over this hot plot! You have been warned! The plot is the same ,but not dragging it out like some other books in  *cough* mockingjay*cough* It stays quick, warm, and simply out of this world.  P.S. I did see Blake betraying them coming.
Katy
Katy is still funny as ever and still making mistakes. But, unlike when other people make mistakes (Luce) she doesn't play dumb, she owns up to it. She recognizes her past mistakes and tries to fix them, which is a great character trait. Also, though Daemon is her boyfriend, she doesn't let him push her around or make decisions for her, which is marvelous.
Daemon
Still arrogant, snarky, and hot. There is a reason that Daemon is my all-time top Book Boyfriend next to Noah Shaw, Jace , and Archer. It's because he can be swoony, protective, and still be a man. He doesn't do all the corny stuff that other book guys do and when he does he does it with flair and class. The relationship between Katy and him is generic and is like every other relationship besides the sci-fi parts!
The Action
The action sequences were sharp quick and well detailed.
The Ending
The ending was gut-wrenching and brought me to tears. The fact that the government basically tortures them and uses onyx to do it is simply disgusting. When they had that final scene together with katy on the otherside and he finally said I Love You, I was like finally
.
I did expect one of them to get kidnapped or something I didn't expect Katy. I thought it would be Daemon. But, it's terrible because the mom doesn't even know about the luxens and probably thinks she's dead. I don't know what to do now because Daemon's words are still making me cry, months later (I read this when it first came out) and he's probably going to go after her ,but I HATE the idea of them being apart.description

Ink By Amanda Sun

Ink (Paper Gods, #1)
Beautiful drawing!!!
Summary
On the heels of a family tragedy, the last thing Katie Greene wants to do is move halfway across the world. Stuck with her aunt in Shizuoka, Japan, Katie feels lost. Alone. She doesn’t know the language, she can barely hold a pair of chopsticks, and she can’t seem to get the hang of taking her shoes off whenever she enters a building.

Then there’s gorgeous but aloof Tomohiro, star of the school’s kendo team. How did he really get the scar on his arm? Katie isn’t prepared for the answer. But when she sees the things he draws start moving, there’s no denying the truth: Tomo has a connection to the ancient gods of Japan, and being near Katie is causing his abilities to spiral out of control. If the wrong people notice, they'll both be targets.

Katie never wanted to move to Japan—now she may not make it out of the country alive.
Plot
I liked it. It was original ,but at some points it just felt like they slipped out the word vampire and replaced it with kami. The Summary left no surprises about his species either because it basically tells the jist of the story.
Katie
As much as I loathe people who constantly compare books to Twilight, I have to compare this book to it. Katie in the beginning reminded me so much of the bad things of Bella it was kind of annoying.  At the 2nd part of the book she got less annoying and more "mediocre" for lack of a better term. I did like her decision in the end because I didn't like how Tomo was pushing her away.
Tomo
I hated it so much that I loved this character, he rude, arrogant, and so hot!   He is just so protective of her and it's so dreamy ,but he has problems with pushing people away.
Japan
Amanda Sun was really detailed on the facts of Japan and I learned a lot about Japan. They have some words in Japanese that you have to look up, which was fun in the beginning but got tiresome 50 pages in. Like literally every one or two pages you have to look up the words in the glossary in the back.
End
The ending was not a cliffhanger nor a dull one. It was a nice ending

Question 2# on Susan Denard's Book CLUB

Question: Do you think that’s part of human nature? To push on and ignore the danger at our door? Or do you think Philadelphia’s ignorance—or for that matter, any ignorance/false sense of safety in modern days as well—can be pinned on politicians? Can you think of any examples where something similar happened, but rather than the Dead, it was a natural disaster/growing crime rate/etc.?

Answer: Yes! It's human nature to pretend like everything's okay like regarding pollution/global warming. People want to ignore that we are doing something wrong because people do not like to change how they live.

Sweet Peril

Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy, #2)
Omg, Omg, Omg!!!! I liked the other cover better though.
Summary
Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

Yes! Oh my Gosh yes!!
Story line
The Plot was interesting but in some parts lacking in Kaiden which is a sin because I sometimes lost interest because of lack of Kai. It's really intense at the end and really action packed. The writing is fantastic and even in the sad parts she kept it real. She didn't make Anna wallow in self-pity for long and made her get back up and get on with the Armageddon.
Anna
My constant problem with her in the first book was the fact that she was too good and at times made it hard to relate with her. But not in this book. Anna comes out less saintlike, more edgy, and less helpless. Her narrative is hopeful and yet true.
Now time for the main event
                         Drum Roll please

Kaiden Rowe!!!!!
Oh sweet lord baby Jesus, that guy is hott (with a double t). He kinda annoyed me in the beginning but I got where he was coming from but still he was actin g like a bum. Every line he says (Even the jealous ones) are sooooo sweet and make me swoon. I hated the fact that he dated another Anna and he got jealous of Kope. (No one should be jealous of Kope because he's basically a monk who got turned down by Anna.) But when he stopped Anna in the airport I was so happy. I swear I was crying like a baby in between the fangirling.
I knew he was gonna go after her ,but I was so caught up in my anger with him that I didn't realize that he would actually come. When they baked brownies together I was smiling so hard. I was practically screaming when they got trapped underwater when the dukes came. I just loved the ending though.

Was not a cliffhanger and it was surprisingly very sweet. I was so happy that they ended up together and that they are still trying on having a relationship (with her dad's approval) and that it ended on a good note.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)
Summary
Mara Dyer doesn’t think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can’t remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.

She doesn’t believe that after everything she’s been through, she can fall in love.
She’s wrong.

Rating: 5 Stars

Plot
The thing about these books about the unreliable narrator is that it could end up either way being super cheesey or fudging great and this book falls under the drop whatever your doing and read category. And with so much going on you would think that a romance on top of that would be over doing it, then your wrong. The romance feels generic and fits right into the book...
 description
And the thing is you think that you know what's coming then BAM!!description
Something terrible happens...
And then it goes from being a steady pace to a fast, nail biting speed and then it ends...
and your like WTH just happened? That's it...

Charactors
Mara Dyer: She's the narrator and not only did her two friends and her bf die, she's also going crazy. Mara is extremely loyal, snarky, and crazy, like omg I can't believe that she did that with her mind crazy. She is in these horrible situations yet she is still funny as hell. I just loved her

Noah Shaw: Oh sweet lord baby Jesus my... like holy hell he's hot
My Noah Shaw (Swoon)
He's everything you would want in a guy hot, funny, and protective wrapped in one British package. He has a fudgeing British accent for Christ's sake!
Favorite Noah Shaw Lines:
“You're the girl who called me an asshole the first time we spoke. The girl who tried to pay for lunch even after you learned I have more money than God. You're the girl who risked her ass to save a dying dog, who makes my chest ache whether you're wearing green silk or ripped jeans. You're the girl that I--" Noah stopped, then took a step closer to me. "You are my girl.”

“You're supposed to say, 'All I want is your happiness. I'll do whatever it takes, even if it means being without you.'"
"Sorry," Noah said. "I'm just not that big of a person.”

“You're distracting,' I said truthfully.
'I won't be. I promise,' Noah said. 'I'll get some crayons and draw quitely. Alone. In a corner.”

Jamie: He's the best friend any psychopath could have.

The Family: Very supportive, I just love all of them - even the mom.

The Ending

Why, why, why? I wasn't ready for that...
Hmph okay I'm okay I swear...

But hey there's a sequel at least!
Tehe look at this

Get it cuz  they make madness together!!!
