The Godesses Girls Series

This book is a modernized tale about myths and about the most popular goddesses. These books are light reads and can be humorous and teach us about mythology too! It is perfect for the happily ever after genre lover's and also is heart warming! I give this series 4 stars because it wasn't my kind of book but was entertaining.

Fallen by Lauren Kate

Summary: There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her.
Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.
Quotes: “What if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours?”
“Trust is a careless pursuit at best. At worst, it's a good way to get yourself killed.”

What is up with this chick? Ugh! First let me start with the beginning.
Beginning
The beginning showed promise and actually seemed like it has a purpose, but then Daniel opens his mouth or showed his middle finger. All went down hill.
 monkey face
Daniel the butt whole I mean the love interest
He had promise and his moments ,but unlike Daemon from Obsidian (Sigh) he sucked butt. He was repeatedly rude and didn't give a dodo about it or her. Claiming he was doing it all to protect her was total trash! He had the looks ,but has a lack of a conscience. He pushed her away and had the nuts to be jealous, seriously? I mean like he was all cute and had his moments ,but Bella  I mean Luc just ran to him all "I love ya!!!" and he bats her away not giving a dodo.
 REALLY!!

Lucinda The main hero protagonist
She has absolutely no backbone and no sense of self preservation. She is seen as innocent and vague, and that is completely stupid! Whenever he pushes her away she runs back like a loyal dog! Seriously, she needs a wake up call! Get a grip girl, YOU ARE WOMEN YOU ARE STRONG!
The Book
I would give this two stars because mainly it sucked. The people played into every trap and sung every YA novel note perfectly. Do not bother reading unless you wanna drop several IQ points.

Tuesday Reviews- Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Summary for Obsidian- Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.And then he opened his mouth. Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.  The hot alien living next door marks me. You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don't kill him first, that is.
Quotes from Obsidian-
“Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys.”
“Swimming was the last thing I wanted to do. Drowning him? Maybe.”
“Will you show me what you really look like? You don't sparkle, do you?”

Review for Obsidian-

OMG!!!!
That's exactly how I felt about this book. One the heroine isn't described like a perfect model or has a wild life. She isn't exactly helpless and doesn't deal with the jerky love interest pushing her around. Katy is a blogger and has had a rough life like basically all the YA novels. What sets it off is her easy banter and her not taking any trash from anyone. When faced with a problem - like finding out her neighbor and best friend is an alien doesn't run away, *Looks at Bella Swan sternly*  and she doesn't immediately run into the arms of the male love interest.
Daemon
When I was first introduced to Daemon I thought "What a butt hole!" then as the novel progresses he becomes more like one of my fav book person named Archer from Hex Hall. He is very prickly but I can see that he has great moments. By the middle of the book I went all crazy fan girl because I just loved him! I literally started fanning myself because that's how smoking he is! I love it!
Overall
Be prepared to be impressed. This book is very unique and WILL leave you begging for the next.
